Through every change, Floortrends is still family-owned and trusted.
Floortrends is a family owned business that began in 1967 as Kawartha Karpet & Tile, a small flooring store in downtown Peterborough, Ontario. In July 2001, the company outgrew the old warehouse and storefront at Hunter Street, moving to 1230 Lansdowne Street West before finally settling at the current location at 700 Clonsilla Avenue.
Today there are a total of 5 Floortrends stores serving South Eastern Ontario. Our locations in Cobourg, Belleville, Bowmanville, Lindsay, and Peterborough have helped people and businesses from Kingston to Bancroft and Pickering to Haliburton.
Kevin Arscott
President
Kevin began working as an estimator at Kawartha Karpet & Tile, working his way up to become partner and eventually taking over the business and expanding to 5 stores. In his free time, you can find him touring around local lakes on his stand-up paddle board or hitting trails on his bike.
Jessica Arscott
Vice President
Jessica is part of the second generation; growing up with flooring discussions at the dinner table she officially joined the family business full time in 2013. She has experienced every aspect of the business from cleaning showrooms, to warehousing, to estimating and managing home builder sites. In her free time, she enjoys tackling home improvement projects and working in the garden with the help of her kids and dog.
Kevin Arscott
Data & technology
Adam is now part of the second generation; he officially joined the business full time in 2017 working in the central warehouse and driving trucks, working on the sales floor assisting customers, and now working behind the scenes in data and technology.
Adele Cousineau
bookkepper & office administration
Adele has been with Floortrends for over 35 years as they grew from a single location in downtown Peterborough to multiple stores in Southeastern Ontario. She is the person behind the scenes who keeps the team running smoothly. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her niece and nephews, and is a recognizable face in the local bowling centre.
Casie Hoskins
payroll & Accounting
Casie joined Floortrends in 2021, bringing experience in office administration to the team. Her friendly personality and professional demeanor are ideal for her position in payroll and human resources, and she is currently taking courses in accounting to further her skills in this department. Residing in Kawartha Lakes with her daughter, she loves cheering for the Oshawa Generals and is obsessed with the Toronto Blue Jays. Casie is used to people messing up her name so to set the record straight, it’s pronounced “K-C”, not “Cass-E”!
Tina Levesque
logistics
Tina began her career as a Salesperson in 2011, eventually moving to Logistics where she coordinates the flow of orders and materials for the company. She is highly organized, keeping the group on track and making it look easy. A long-time resident of Oshawa, she stays very busy looking after her grandkids and dogs when not at work.
Patrick Kinlin
Sales & estimating – Belleville
Patrick grew up in the Belleville area and enjoys meeting the close-knit residents and helping them with their flooring projects. He started at Floortrends as a salesperson and worked his way up to become an Estimator. Patrick and his wife have a young son and daughter and are die hard Blue Jays fans.
Alan Herrington
Sales & estimating commercial specialist – Belleville
Alan brings 6 years of retail experience in a Management role to Floortrends. He enjoys helping customers on projects ranging from a simple entrance way up to a full home remodel, and everything in between. Outside of work Alan is a hockey and lacrosse fan, go Leafs/Rock! He and his wife have 2 great kids, Alan and Olivia, and they enjoy attending country music concerts regularly and spending weekends at the family cottage!
Kim Cooke
Sales & estimating – Lindsay
Kim joined Floortrends in 2014. With a background in design and decorating, she really enjoys helping customers with colour coordinating, and other decorating related questions.
Adam Griffin
Sales & estimating – Bowmanville
Adam has been with Floortrends since 2014. He previously owned and operated a construction company and has a passion for renovations and remodeling. Adam enjoys providing advice and assisting people in finding the right product to make their home complete.
Mike Grozelle
Sales & estimating – Bowmanville
Mike has been with Floortrends since 2016 as an estimator working on new home and custom home projects, retail clients and main street commercial work. He has spent the years becoming familiar with all aspects of flooring and is continuously expanding his knowledge. When Mike is not working with Floortrends he spends his time with his growing kids, woodworking in his shop, and golfing whenever possible. Mike looks forward to getting a chance to work with new clients as much as possible and would be happy to assist with your flooring project.
Cameron Tomkins
Sales & estimating – Cobourg
Cameron grew up in Clarington and brings over 20 years of customer service, sales and retail management experience. He looks forward to bring your dreams and vision to reality. Outside of work he can be found with his family on the soccer pitch or cottage during the summer and on the ski hills during the winter.
Bill Pryke
Sales & estimating – Cobourg
Bill joined Floortrends when it was known as Kawartha Karpet & Tile. With more than a decade of experience in new home construction prior to working in the flooring industry, he has been estimating with Floortrends since 2000. When he’s not working Bill helps coach youth basketball in Peterborough.
Jaime Runions
Sales & estimating – Cobourg
Jaime joined Floortrends in 2021. With an extensive background in customer service and event management, she learned the estimating role quickly. Jaime specializes in home builder and residential projects.
Sunder Balajee Muthappan
Sales & estimating commercial specialist – Bowmanville
Sunder joined Floortrends in 2021 bringing with him 5 years of commercial estimating experience gained in New Jersey before relocating to Durham Region with his wife. With a background in Civil Engineering, he is a very detail oriented and friendly guy, specializing mainly in home builder and commercial projects.
Alex Campbell
Sales & estimating – Peterborough
Alex brings a knowledgeable operations background to Floortrends and he will be glad to assist you with any project, large or small. Outside of work Alex’s spare time revolves around sports and you will find him either on the rink, on the golf course, or cruising around local lakes in his kayak.
Perry Mitskopoulos
Sales & estimating – Lindsay
Perry comes from a family of flooring installers, after installing on his own he traded in his hammer for an estimator position. He will be happy to assist you with every step of your new project. On his down time you can find him working on cars or relaxing by the lake in the summer.
Paul Finney
manager commercial estimating – Peterborough
Paul was originally a homebuilder and worked with Floortrends when they were known as Kawartha Karpet & Tile. He joined us in 1994 and is an expert in commercial flooring. When not working he enjoys spending time on the golf course.
Joyce Perovich
Sales – Peterborough
Joyce is a familiar face greeting everyone who walks through the doors in Peterborough. She has been with the Floortrends team since 2004 and loves helping people find the right fit for their home projects. She believes that her love of people is a result of her family and high values. When not at work or with family Joyce truly enjoys volunteering her time in the community where she lives.
Jeff Brown
Sales & estimating – Peterborough
Jeff began his career at Floortrends in the warehouse in 2014, before quickly moving to a Junior Sales & Estimating position. He enjoys helping customers find their most practical and ideal flooring products to meet their needs for commercial or residential applications. Outside of Floortrends Jeff spends his time in the martial arts community, training, and teaching classes of all ages at a local academy.
Addie Hart
Sales & estimating – Peterborough
Addie joined the Floortrends family in 2014 after settling in Peterborough from Georgia. Her experience ranges from estimating to design & installation. True to her Southern roots, she has an enthusiastic approach to serving our clients. Her eagerness to dedicate time, attention, and energy will help you achieve the best outcome for your upcoming project!
Stacey Barke
Sales & estimating Commercial Specialist – Peterborough
Stacey joined Floortrends in June of 2016, bringing lots of experience all the way from Newfoundland, where he was a part of a family flooring business. His Commercial estimating background began after finishing the Civil Technology course in 2008. Outside of work, he spends time with his wife and kids as well as on his motorcycle and can also be seen boating and golfing.

Warehousing – Peterborough
Mark joined Floortrends in 2012. He is a very busy and hardworking guy, keeping the warehouse running smoothly with materials coming in and going out to customers, job sites, and other warehouses. You may also see him driving around town making deliveries.
Brandon May
sales & estimating – Belleville
Brandon joined Floortrends in 2022 bringing with him nearly a decade of Retail Sales and Customer Service experience. With a strong background in Product Management, Brandon is keen on helping you to find the best product options available to suit your application. Outside of work you are likely to see Brandon on a run around town, hiking local trails with his Wife and Corgi, and spending time with friends and family.
Julien Stam
Warehousing – Belleville
Julien joined Floortrends in the fall of 2023 with over ten years of operations experience. He enjoys putting in extra effort to ensure a job is finished correctly. In his spare time he can be found relaxing at home, spending time with his dog and cat.
Jake Best
sales – Belleville
Jake has over 5 years of experience in general construction in residential and commercial fields. He is dedicated to providing quality service as well as quality products for any project. Outside of Floortrends, you can find him at the ball park cheering on the Blue Jays, playing hockey, or at the local golf course.

With decades of truck driving experience, Paul is the friendly face behind the wheel, on deliveries, and in the warehouse lending a hand.

Don is the man behind the scenes, running the central warehouse and overseeing trucks at the heart of our operation.
Stephen Cadamuro
sales – Bowmanville
Stephen joined Floortrends in 2020, after a hiatus out West he returned to the Peterborough area and rejoined the team in early 2025. With a background in accounting, his meticulous eye for detail is appreciated by his coworkers and clients.
